THESE FEATURES ARE DESIGNED FOR ADVANCED USE AND ARE ACCESSED THROUGH THE !!Configuration NOTECARD WITHIN THE BLUE CONTROLLER TRIANGLE.
These features are not for the feint of heart to use and not for the average user.
These options are enabled/disabled by removing the relevant # symbol from in front of the line within the !! Configuration notecard.
@alwaysshowmenu
This option is for situations where you are using multiple controllers at the same time, but are trying to do exceptionally complex tasks.
Standard behavior for multiple controllers for when you press REZ MOVERS on the HUD is that only one blue popup menu is produced no matter how many controllers you have on the same channel allowing you to easily select how many movers are rezzed by each controller.
if you enable @alwaysshowmenu, each and every controller will generate a blue popup menu when you press REZ MOVER. The intended use for this is if you attempt to manage several sets of Formations movers on several channels with different numbers of movers on each controller. You will need to understand how individual controllers can work on different channels. The simplest way to understand this is that if you set controllers on different channels but only use 1 worn Formations HUD you will need to keep changing the channel on the HUD by clicking the channel numbers at the top each time you wish to issue a command to a set of movers. The other option for this is to wear multiple Formations HUDS but each HUD set on to the relevant channel for the controller.
If you wear one or more Formations HUDs to control different sets of movers at the same time, you can load a recording in each HUD and they will obey start commands issued by the Performance Director HUD. If you are not using Performance Director HUD you will need to manually press play on each formations HUD to start playback of a recording.
This option may potentially allow you to have a different number of movers on each controller but you will also need to fully understand how to define channels and controller numbers for each controller.
@alwaysshowmenu is to be used in conjunction with the following option.
@manualoffset <value> This option is to allow limited control of how the Formations movers are numbered for when you are using multiple controllers AND Performance Director HUD. It is of little or no use for any other situation, and is of no use if you are using other dance HUDS.
Example:
If you have two standard configured controllers rezzed and choose to rez 4 movers, you would have spots numbered 1, 2, 3 and 4 on one controller and 1, 2, 3 and 4 on the second controller.
If you enable @manualoffset <value> in the !!Configuration notecard of the second controller and set the value to 8 then the first controller will still have spots numbered 1, 2, 3, and 4 but the second controller will now have spots numbered 8, 9, 10, and 11.
Be aware in the above situation you would need to ensure your Performance Director HUD has been updated to allow for more than 8 dancers and your sequence was written to fit the different numbering of the movers.
This option over-rides the @controllernumber value in the controller that you set it in.
The included Design Tool in your Formations folder is the easier option for most users to create their own unique, more complex formations and patterns and is the recommended solution.
