EDITING SETS

NEW FEATURES IN VESTION 1.3

WARNING:  The new features require that your sets contain the 1.3 Object Script, and that the notecard was generated with Object Script 1.3 or higher!   You do not have to upgrade your old sets, but if you do not, the new features of version 1.3 will not work correctly!  See Updating Stage Manager for more info.

SET ADJUSTMENT TOOL

NEW IN VERSION 1.3
Adjust your entire set in real time by using the new Set Adjustment Tool.  You can adjust left, right, up, down, forward and back.  For rotations, see "Editing Set Contents" below.

1. Click "Adjust Set" on the Rezzer menu.  The Adjustment Tool will rez in the center of your set.  Use the arrows to move the set as you wish.

2.  When done, click the adjustment tool and select "Save" on the menu.  Your set and adjustment tool will de-rez but the offset will be used when you rez that specific set at that specific location in the future.

3.  Rez your set again to see that the adjustments have been saved.

RESET:  You can go back to the previous positions by rezzing another Adjustment Tool, clicking it and choosing "Reset" on the menu.

EDITING SET CONTENT PIECES

There may be times when you want to edit a set you've already packed in your stage manager.  Often this is because you're going to perform that same routine at a different venue with a different size stage.   You can of course rez a set, edit it by adding items, changing the size of items, deleting items, etc., and then press "GetNotecard" again.  Add the new notecard data and the new / edited items to the Rezzer and all is well.

There are few things you should be aware of when editing your sets.
  • Replace any changed items inside the Stage Manager.  If you resize, rotate or rename your items, be sure to replace those inside the rezzer after clicking GetNotecard.
  • How "shift-copy" works.  When you shift-drag an item, you probably think you're dragging the copy but instead, you are dragging the original and the copy stays in place.  Why does this matter?  Usually it doesn't but in this case if you derez the set before pressing "GetNotecard" again, the original will be picked up (now moved) and not the copy.  It will of course rez again where it was originally.
