1. If I need to adjust my set, what do I need to do?
Keep in mind that Stage Manager rezzes copies of your set pieces, not the original pieces you put inside the SM. Editing a rezzed set does nothing so you will need to change the Set notecard inside SM and sometimes replace the prop piece inside as well. See Editing Sets
For a prop piece that is just moved or rotated, simply do a "Get Notecard" and find the line for that object. Copy that line alone and paste it OVER the existing line in the Set notecard inside SM.
For prop pieces that are resized, in addition to changing the existing set notecard line, you'll need to replace the object inside the SM. So remove the original, and put the resized one in.
If you've made a lot of changes, it's probably just easier to replace all of the object in the SM after getting a notecard for the new positions.
ALWAYS RESET SCRIPTS in Stage Manager after making any changes to it!
2. how can i check to make sure my stage location is correct?
Rez Beacon: Clicking the "Rez Beacon" button from the Rezzer's main menu will rez an object at the current stage location. The item will emit a particle radar pulse, and derez after 20 seconds. This should make it easier to verify if the Stage Location is configured correctly when debugging. See Troubleshooting
3. I DANCE IN MULTIPLE SHOWS AND LOCATIONS AND NEED TO MAKE MULTIPLE SETS AT THE SAME TIME? cAN I USE MULTIPLE STAGE MANAGERS ON THE SAME SIM?
Yes, you can turn the Stage Managers OFF that you are not currently using. Left-click the rezzer and choose OFF on the menu. Remember to turn it on again when you want it to listen to commands.
4. can i use performance director to control my stage manager?
Absolutely! You can send chat commands and assign buttons on the Performance Director too. See At the Show
4. Something that i packed doesn't appear when i rez my set? How can I find it?
First try Debug Mode to make sure it is even packed. Debug mode will give you a list of all objects rezzed. See Troubleshootingsm-troubleshoot If it isn't rezzed, go back through the steps to make sure you pack it correctly (object script in the root of a linkset, the object is copyable, correct coordinates, etc.) and add it again if needed. If it has rezzed, use Area Search to find it. Turn on transparency if needed as well.
6. nothing is rezzing! Help!
Aside from the obvious like: Are scripts allowed on the sim? Are you wearing the proper tag to rez? Is it a sim issue and perhaps it needs a reboot? Would part of your stage be hanging over onto a nearby parcel where you don't have permissions to rez? Is everything packed correctly and the correct stage location loaded? Did you try resetting the Stage Manager? Did you try to rez it at the build site again or a sandbox where scripts are allowed? Check the Troubleshooting page for Debug Mode and Rez a Beacon to help.
