COSTUME ASSISTANT - FAQ
Please read the Costume Assistant Instructions first but if you have a problem, one of the following questions may help.
Question 1. I have created the #RLV folder in the root directory but I don't see it in my inventory.
Question 1. I have created the #RLV folder in the root directory but I don't see it in my inventory.
Check to see if you have the "Hide empty inventory folders" enabled in your Preferences. In Firestorm, this is located on the Preferences > Firestorm > General tab. If using another viewer, consult your viewer's directions to see if they have this feature.

Question 2. I have created folders but the Costume Assistant isn't changing the items in them and I'm not getting an error message.
Make sure you didn't name your #RLV folder(s) the same name as any of the clothing layers or attachment points listed at the bottom of the directions page.

Question 3. Changing a whole outfit with the Costume Assistant is slower than changing it via the inventory.
We do not recommend using Costume Assistant to change entire outfits. Because of the way RLV works, much of the process uses your viewer to make the change. This means that it all depends on your computer, your internet connection, your graphics card, etc. Changing from the inventory is not going through RLV so it's much quicker.

Question 4. All of my dancers have configured their RLV folders and have the items in them but they do not change.
All of your dancers must be wearing a Costume Assistant configured on the same channel. Access must also be given to at least the person who will be giving the commands, commonly done by adding the group you all belong to. See Configuring Your HUD.
