Smooth Dancer
Use the menu below to navigate through the Smooth Dancer documentation.
HUD CONTROLS
To use your dance HUD, simply add animations to it by rezzing it to the ground, and dragging animations from your inventory to the HUD's Content tab (Edit window).
DANCING YOURSELF
As soon as you ADD the Smooth Dancer from your inventory, you are automatically added as Dancer #1. Click any dance on the ALL or SEQ tabs to begin animations.

Click the INV tab to show a list of nearby avatars. Click their name to send them a dance invite. Or click "INVITE ALL" to invite all nearby avatars.
INCREASING THE AMOUNT OF DANCERS and UPDATING
The default amount of dancers is 20 but you can have less or up to 40 by using the included Update tool. Please watch this video to learn how (it's the same procedure for both Smooth Dancer and the Performance Director). Also on Adding Animations

TOP CONTROLS
LOCK - This is a toggle switch to either lock your HUD on or unlock it. RLV must be enabled in your viewer's Preferences to use this feature. HELP - Question Mark - Gives you a link to this website for help. MINIMIZE / MAXIMIZE - Minimizes the HUD to just the top portion or Maximizes it to show the entire HUD. |
TABS and their CONTROLS
Smooth Dancer has four tabs which show different lists and bottom controls when clicked. The background of the tab will be pink when active and the bottom controls will change. The PAUSE and STOP buttons will show on all tabs.

ALL (All Animations)
Lists in alphabetical order all animations in your HUD. Click a dance in the list to animate you and others on your HUD. Each time you click a dance, that animation will begin. Controls on the ALL Tab are: SYNC - Syncs all dancers when pressed CACHE - Quickly runs through all dances in the HUD. For large numbers of dances, it's best to cache twice. LIST DANCES - Sends an alphabetical list of all dances in your HUD to local chat. SEQ (Sequences)
Lists all sequences on your "!! Sequences" notecard inside your HUD. See SEQUENCES & RECORDING Controls on the SEQ Tab are: SYNC - Syncs all dancers when pressed RELOAD - You can edit your !! Sequences notecard while wearing your HUD. You must click Reload to update your edit and see your changes. R - RECORD - Starts and stops a recording session. See Sequences & Recording DUMP (floppy disk with down arrow) - After recording, click this to get the recording data in local chat for you to copy and paste into your !! Sequences notecard. |

WHO (Is on your HUD)
Lists in the order of which they were added all individuals who are currently dancing on your HUD. Includes those who have not yet accepted the invitation for easy re-inviting. Controls on the WHO Tab are: REINVITE - Click the person's name and then the ReInvite button to send another invitation to those who have not yet accepted the previous invitation. REMOVE - Click the person's name and then the Remove button to remove only that person from your HUD. REMOVE ALL - Click this button to remove all dancers, including yourself, from the HUD. CHAT COMMAND - Dancers can remove themselves by typing /99stop in local chat. You can remove yourself however you would need to Reinvite yourself using the ME button below to dance again. |

INV - (Invite)
Lists the 16 closest avatars - 16 is the limitation of SL. Click a person's name to send them an invitation. Every name you invite will appear on the WHO tab regardless of whether they accepted or not. If you wish to invite more than 16 (and have configured the slots), wear or rez a Remote Inviter. Controls on the INV Tab are: ME - Click this to add yourself as a dancer if you have used the REMOVE ALL button on the WHO tab. INVITE ALL - Sends an invitation to all nearby avatars who names appear on the INV list. |

PAGING THROUGH LISTS
Use either the left or right arrow to page through lists one page at a time or the scroll bar to quickly jump to pages when you have many pages. |

Pause and Stop
PAUSE - Plays an "idle dance" that you designate in the Configuration notecard. See Configuration STOP - Stops all animations currently running animations. Also, anyone on your HUD may also type /99stop in local chat to be removed from your HUD. |
