After you finish designing your route and have all of your waypoints with times, sleeptimes, turn times, etc, all in position, left-click the Designer Ring and choose "GetNotecard" from the menu to have the coordinates appear in local chat.
Press CONTROL + H to bring up the Chat History Box. Highlight ALL SEGMENTS of the text to copy (CONTROL+C) and paste (CONTROL+V) into your Mover's notecard.
IMPORTANT:
EVERY TIME you make a change to the route, you will need to generate another notecard to update the Mover.
Delete the information text and leave the route coordinates as shown below (plus whatever settings you have entered) - see MOVERS and Configuration Parameters
Depending on the number of Waypoints, your route may come out in multiple segments. This is due to a limitation on chat length in SL.
Be sure to copy ALL segments and remove the info parts as shown in the 2nd image below.
TIP: It's a good idea to save a copy of your generated route often as you work in case something horrible happens like a sim crash!
Due to limitations on the amount of text that can be included in local chat, the coordinates may be displayed in two or more segments as shown in the example below. It's very important that you delete the local chat headers from the route and paste only the route information.
What you'll see in chat (Control-H)
What your notecard should look like after removing the chat headers and adding your parameters.
Multiple Notecards
Using multiple notecards in your Movers gives a powerful advantage to the time it takes to set up for performance day. You can store up to 12 routes (12 different notecards) in each Mover and all of those routes could be independent to the Mover. You could perform an entire show without once having the dancers get off their movers! Please see MULTIPLE NOTECARDS for how to use with Performance Director, Stage Manager and more!
Updating 1.x Notecards to 2.x - Translation Tool
It's easy to update your previous Movers to 2.0 and if you need to edit an existing route, just have your Designer Ring read the translated card.
To update previous Movers, use the included 1.x to 2.0 Translation tool provided. The tool is copyable so you'll always have an original in your inventory.
Rez the tool from inventory.
You can copy / paste your Mover's notecard data over top of the existing example data in the translator, or drag your notecard into the box and delete the Movement card inside. Either way, you want one card in there at a time.
Left-click the Translator box and look in local chat (Control + H).
Copy the data from local chat into your NEW 2.0 Mover.
For editing previous routes, put the new data into the Movement Notecard inside the Designer Ring. Click READNOTECARD in Advanced part of the menu and out pops your Waypoints. Then you can edit as normal.
