FEATURES OVERVIEW

Current Version - 3.1

These pages are mostly in text so that you can change to whatever language you want using your browser.  For those pages with images, you can download the Performance Director DOC to use that for translation.

You MUST have either the Spot On Choreography System or the Spot On Group Formation System to use this HUD.  It is not designed to use as a stand-alone dance HUD.  Does not include animations.

A revolutionary and easy way to choreograph your dance performances, the low-lag Performance Director uses a single timer to control multiple groups of dancers, send emotes or chat commands, pre-cache performances, auto-invite dancers into configured groups, even move stage props, and works seamlessly with the Choreography Designer and Group Formation systems to move your dancers anywhere in your performance area.

Features:
  • Dancers are invited to the HUD and assigned a group as they sit on a Mover
  • Easily control multiple groups of dancers
  • Five Skins and Resize/Scale options
  • Groups can change animations at different times and even start at different times
  • Dance up to 32 dancers.
  • A new, easier way to write group dance routines
  • Fast notecard loading and longer routines (in Version 3.0)
  • Integrated Launchpad Controls
  • Smoother transition between animations than traditional dance HUDs
  • Each group has its own routine sequence (macro)
  • Auto pre-cache or pre-cache animations with the touch of a button
  • The ability to layer animations and appear to start an animation somewhere other than the real beginning of it
  • Easily edit your routines while wearing your HUD
  • Controls your Spot On Movers:  Holds multiple routine notecards and with the included stage marker (or Spot On Stage Manager), can automatically jump to the start position of the next routine
  • List dances in the HUD to preview / play
  • Send personalized emotes and chat commands to local chat, your dancers, or individual dancers
  • User-configurable hotkey buttons to rez sets, control stage props, send emotes, etc., at the touch of a button.
  • Re-Invite dancers who have mistakenly refused or have missed the popup invitation to animate (before or during play).
  • Ability to "say," "shout" and "regionsay" commands
  • Able to spoof emotes in local chat under a different name
  • Turn on AnkleLock to keep dancers ankles correct
  • Turn on Debug Mode to see the transitions in local chat
  • Feedback to owner if a dancer refuses or has not accepted animation invitation or is missing a pipe "|" character
  • Debug mode allows you to see in chat when commands, including changing animations, are triggered
  • Assign a pose or animation as an idle dance even before PLAY is pressed
  • Low lag
  • Fast and courteous support
  • and more!

"This is for doing group dances in a brand new way that is SO EASY and SO SIMPLE plus: you can now have different groups doing different animations at different times... the times do not have to line up!!  The freedom and simplicity of this system will revolutionize group dancing. PLUS it holds your animations so ONE BUTTON triggers an entire group dance including emotes!!  One HUD, one button does it ALL!"
- BabyPea VonPhoenix, Professional SL Dancer

Easier to Create Sequences!
The conventional method of making sequences uses the "play this animation for 10 seconds, then this animation for 28 seconds, then this animation for 12 seconds" etc., which requires quite a bit of math to figure out appropriate timing and changes in animations. Add multiple groups and chat commands which would need to be added into that SAME SEQUENCE MACRO and it gets way too confusing even for a three minute song!

Now you can use a simple timeline for each group separately based on the length of the song.  Our method uses a simpler process: "At 0 seconds (the beginning) play this animation, then at 20 seconds into the song, play this animation, then at 2 minutes into the song, play this animation."  If a song changes tempo at 2 minutes, you don't need to add up the times of the animations before it and tweak it multiple times to get the timing right.  Just simply change the animation at 2 minutes into the song!

Wear Less HUDs!
Some performers wear multiple dance HUDS to control dance groups while at the same time wearing their small Spot On Choreography System HUD, and perhaps a HUD to control props such as curtains opening or particle effects, etc.  The list can go on and on and your screen can get quite crowded!

Now control all of your dances groups, your Spot On Movers, and any props you have that can be controlled via a chat command, from the single HUD and start the timing of them all with the touch of one button.  See more of your own show!

Less Lag!
Severe lag can affect even the smallest and best written scripts and unfortunately lag is a major factor at dance performances.  Many dance HUDs come loaded with features that are not needed during shows and are rarely, if ever, used on a day-to-day basis.  Nothing is more frustrating during a performance than a HUD that will not respond when needed.

In the same way a surgeon would not use a Swiss Army knife to perform a delicate operation, the Performance Director HUD, together with the Spot On Movers, is designed to do a specific function, and do it well, without unneeded scripts.
